Kelsey grew up in the Del Oro basketball program. She began attending the Del Oro Junior Eagles Basketball Camp at age nine where she fell in love with everything the program had to offer, and the joy it brought the girls who were playing. Kelsey graduated from Del Oro in 2010 and played four years of basketball, as well as, running track and cross country. She played two years under the helm of the legendary Mike Takayama where her team went undefeated in the league and went on to play in the CIF State Championship Tournament. Kelsey began coaching with the freshman girls program in 2011 with Steve Evans and has been coaching in the program ever since. This will be her fourth year as a head coach in the program, third at the JV level.

“As a coach, it is my job to teach young female student-athletes the game of basketball and life lessons along the way. I believe that sports can teach hard work, teamwork, communication, and perseverance. My two passions are basketball and kids, and coaching is my opportunity to do both. I believe in the legacy of Del Oro Basketball and want to continue building a program that brings pride to our community.”
